About

Organized in 1879, Grace United Methodist Church is the oldest church in Marshall County. The current “Currier and Ives” appearing building was built at the turn of the century. A fire and several floods, the most ruinous being the flood of 1997, have challenged the congregation and building, but today the beautiful church is renewed and handicapped accessible. The interior of the church is especially beautiful at holiday time and is open for prayer and quiet to individuals.

More importantly, however, has been the commitment of the people of Grace United Methodist Church to carry our Jesus’ great commandment, that we love God, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

We are the church of Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors.
